Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in ensuring timely food preparation and production for patients, attendants, and staff according to menu cycles
• Maintain strict cleaning and sanitation procedures in the kitchen and on equipment to prevent foodborne illnesses
• Monitor food temperatures and storage to ensure safety and quality
• Assist with ordering food supplies and keeping inventory records
• Report to the duty supervisor regarding spoiled or doubtful food for consumption
• Collect and assemble food ingredients from the store for daily production
• Ensure food supplies of perishable and non-perishable items are safe for consumption
• Assist food service helpers with cleaning and peeling vegetables as assigned
• Transport food to staff dining or other locations as directed
• Record details of leftover food at the end of the morning shift and hand over to the next shift cook
• Distribute staff cafeteria meals, ensuring portion control standards are strictly followed
• Support security protocols to ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and secure
• Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor
