Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide corporate financial leadership on high-level decision-making processes
- Enforce strict financial discipline across the organization
- Oversee total corporate financial planning, budgetary control, costing, taxation, and annual reporting
- Arrange and structure project financing through international funding agencies, development financial institutions, commercial banks, and public/private funding streams
- Evaluate, monitor, and maintain effective internal financial controls and reporting structures in compliance with International Accounting (IFRS) and Auditing Standards
- Handle power sector regulatory affairs, formulate transmission tariffs, and prepare/present tariff petitions before the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA)
- Drive corporate change by modernizing accounting systems, facilitating ERP/SAP deployment, and mentoring finance division personnel
- Partner closely with the Board of Directors, the Audit & Finance Committee, and external auditors to ensure timely annual financial audits, regulatory disclosures, and tax filings
- Ensure strict compliance with the Companies Act 2017, SECP regulations, Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations, and institutional best practices
- Act as the primary coordinator for all Board of Directors, Board Committees, and General Meetings, ensuring timely issuance of notices and meticulous documentation of minutes and decisions
