Skills

• Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or Business Administration
• Professional qualification of FCA, FCCA, or FCMA (CFA certification is an advantage)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in fixed income and equity markets
• Strong grasp of financial modeling, valuations, and forecasting trends
• Understanding of accounting policies and practices pertaining to investments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in investment strategy development and execution
• Ability to oversee investment fund performance and asset allocation

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct, lead, and control the Investment Function to generate profits while managing the asset and liability structure of the Corporation
• Develop long-term and short-term investment strategies to establish an optimum portfolio mix of various asset classes
• Periodically monitor investment strategies and assess their suitability with respect to changing economic events
• Assess and interpret financial information and relevant indicators before determining investment opportunities
• Lead all aspects of investment implementation, including process development and selection of investment products
• Oversee the performance of the fund against targets established by the Investment Committee/Board on a periodic basis
• Conduct meetings with the Investment Committee on a regular basis and record decisions
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, share insights, ideas, and findings with Management/Board on a periodic basis
• Oversee the selection of suitable securities and debt instruments for investment and assign optimal investment weights based on fundamental research, sector analysis, and available liquidity
• Develop a reliable system for calculating the rate of return earned/investment performance over a period of time
• Provide expert advice to the management/Board in bringing about improvements in the investment-related disclosures in the books of accounts
