• Ensure coordination with other statistical agencies and authorities
• Promote, develop, and maintain robust analytical and research capacity within the bureau
• Prepare annual and five-year work plans, progress reports, and budgets
• Develop national statistical standards and promote standardization of concepts and definitions
• Ensure adherence to international standards and observance by government bodies
