Skills

• Demonstrated technical knowledge of statistics
• National and international economic and management skills
• Minimum 20 years of experience, with at least 5 years in senior management
• Experience in managing large databases and national statistical surveys
• Experience in compiling and analyzing National Income Accounts and Economic Statistics
• Proven leadership and research record on national and international social & economic issues
• Experience in Statistical Data Analysis and input to policy formulation
• Knowledge and experience of analyzing computer data/statistical information
• Proficiency in advanced computer software

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Decide on the collection, transmission, processing, and compilation of statistical data
• Supervise census operations throughout Pakistan, assigning tasks to Provincial Census Commissioners
• Appraise the quality of all national statistics
• Ensure coordination with other statistical agencies, authorities, and bodies
• Promote, develop, and maintain strong analytical and research capacity within the Bureau
• Prepare annual work plans, five-year work plans, progress reports, and budgets
• Develop national statistical standards and promote standardization of concepts and definitions
