Computer Lab Assistant at National University of Modern Languages (NUML)

Skills

• Minimum 16 Years of education in CS / SE or equivalent
• Minimum 5 Years relevant experience
• Hands-On experience on Security threats, System Security, policy enforcement and its mitigation in cyber security fields
• Secure Network traffic in support of network team
• Proficiency with firewalls like WAF, Fortinet etc
• Collaboration with Software team on security of information exchanged on web applications
• Regular monitoring, auditing and mitigation to protect digital assets, networks, and data from unauthorized access or breaches
• Ability to manage incident response, including investigation, documentation, and resolution
• Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining information security policies, as per security standards, and procedures
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux platforms
• Cyber Security Certifications (preferred)
• Professional level experience on MS SQL Server and My SQL for database management
• Experience in backup, recovery, and monitoring DB performance
• Experience in load testing and query optimization, data extraction
• Ability to collaborate with software team for deployment, scripting, logging, security & compliance of databases
• Graduate plus one year diploma in Computer Science/ IT from any accredited institution
• Adequate experience of installing & troubleshooting Windows OS / Networking
• Experience in installation of Windows based software
• Handling of Smart LEDs, Multimedia, Sound Systems and Video Conferencing

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage cybersecurity threats and policy enforcement
• Secure network traffic and utilize firewalls
• Monitor, audit, and mitigate risks to digital assets and networks
• Respond to security incidents and manage investigations
• Develop and implement information security policies
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server and Linux platforms
• Manage database operations using MS SQL Server and My SQL
• Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, and data extraction
• Ensure database security and compliance
• Install and troubleshoot Windows OS and networking issues
• Handle multimedia systems and video conferencing equipment
