Skills

• Recognised HLTA status or Level 4 qualification
• Substantial experience undertaking higher-level responsibilities
• Previous experience as HLTA or experienced TA in a UK primary school
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons and supervising whole classes
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1, KS2)
• Excellent classroom management and positive behaviour support skills
• Experience supporting pupils with varying learning needs
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons
• Supervise whole classes across primary year groups
• Support pupils with literacy, numeracy and targeted learning interventions
• Adapt activities to meet the needs of children with additional learning needs
• Provide continuity and support positive pupil outcomes in long-term placements
• Undertake compliance checks including Prohibited list, Barred list, DBS and Qualifications
