Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting physiotherapy assessments under the supervision of senior physiotherapists
- Participate in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under supervision
- Deliver basic physiotherapy interventions for orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, women's health, and post-surgical patients under supervision
- Assist in physiotherapy management of patients requiring prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation
- Observe and assist in pre-prosthetic and pre-orthotic training programs
- Monitor patient progress and report significant findings to supervising physiotherapists
- Assist in providing physiotherapy services in OPD, inpatient wards, ICU, rehabilitation units, and specialty clinics
- Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and departmental clinical discussions
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding home exercise programs, posture correction, and rehabilitation principles under supervision
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with departmental policies
- Enter patient assessment and treatment information into the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) under supervision
- Assist in maintaining quality indicators and departmental statistics
- Support clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental research activities
- Assist in maintaining physiotherapy equipment and ensuring cleanliness and safety of treatment areas
- Follow infection prevention and control policies and universal precautions at all times
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with ethical and professional standards
- Demonstrate professional communication with patients, attendants, consultants, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals
- Participate in departmental academic activities including journal clubs, case presentations, CME sessions, workshops, and in-service training
- Complete all assigned clinical rotations and competency assessments during the house job program
- Perform duties in both male and female physiotherapy areas as assigned
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks assigned by the supervising physiotherapist or Head of Department that are commensurate with the objectives of the house job training program
