• Skill in assisting surgeons to scrub in
• Adherence to sound aseptic measures
• Capability to run OR in the absence of the In-charge
• Independent performance of OT operational activities
• Verification of equipment, instruments, and consumable items availability
• Accurate documentation of equipment use and consumption forms
• Safe patient transfer to Recovery Room
• Implementation and assurance of patient safety measures
• Effective communication with surgeons and OT staff

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist all cardiac surgeries independently, specializing in a specific area
• Arrange and maintain all necessary equipment and instruments for cardiac procedures
• Ensure patient consent forms are accurate, signed, and approved
• Provide assistance to surgeons during the scrubbing-in process
• Uphold strict aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures
• Manage operating room operations in the absence of the designated in-charge
• Independently execute all required OT operational activities
• Confirm the availability of all equipment, instruments, and consumables before and after procedures
• Document the usage of all equipment during surgical interventions
• Record the consumption of materials used during procedures
• Safely transfer patients to the Recovery Room post-operation
• Implement and enforce all patient safety protocols
• Coordinate with housekeeping to maintain OR cleanliness
• Foster clear communication between surgical teams and OT staff
• Perform all assigned tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Head of Cardiac Surgeon
