  • Prescribe medications rationally and ensure proper treatment plans
  • Conduct regular ward rounds and monitor admitted patients
  • Provide maternal and child health services where applicable
  • Ensure timely referral of complicated cases to higher-level facilities
  • Respond to medical emergencies promptly and provide life-saving interventions
  • Stabilize critical patients prior to referral or admission
  • Lead or support triage processes when required
  • Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and clinical files
  • Ensure proper documentation of referrals, follow-up cases, and drug prescriptions
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports as required by management or donors
  • Work closely with nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, and other clinical staff
  • Support and supervise clinical assistants or junior staff if assigned
  • Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and mortality reviews
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
  • Follow rational drug-use guidelines and manage controlled medications responsibly
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and ethical medical practices
