  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
  • Manage laboring patients and perform vaginal deliveries including vacuum deliveries
  • Assess and manage patients in the ER
  • Undertake certain medical procedures advised by the Consultant
  • Liaise with nursing staff regularly to check on patient progress
  • See patients at the request of nurses in charge and carry out examinations
  • Discuss medication on discharge with patients and write a discharge summary
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient medical information
  • Provide urgent medical attention and treatment to staff or visitors in case of accident or sudden illness
  • Remain on the hospital premises whilst on duty
  • Ensure continuous cover in the event of an RMO/SMO not attending for duty
  • Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, particularly Health and Safety at Work
  • Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with staff, patients, and families

  • Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for admitted patients
  • Handle laboring patients and perform deliveries as per competency
  • Assess and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Room
  • Liaise with nursing staff for patient monitoring and care
  • Communicate discharge instructions and summaries to patients
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Respond to medical emergencies involving staff or visitors
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
