Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in OPD, IPD, ER, ICU, or specialty units
- Propose diagnoses based on patient history, examination, and diagnostic data
- Develop and implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Consultant
- Perform clinical procedures within the scope of training and granted credentialing
- Participate in ward rounds and case discussions, ensuring timely and accurate patient documentation
- Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations, escalating complex cases appropriately
- Provide on-call coverage as per the duty roster
- Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals when necessary
- Coordinate with nursing and allied health teams for comprehensive patient care and continuity of treatment
- Counsel patients and their families, obtaining informed consent for treatment
- Monitor patients' progress and modify treatments as their conditions evolve
- Ensure the allocation of appropriate time and resources for all patient care processes
- Provide clinical guidance and ensure adherence to hospital clinical guidelines and SOPs
- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity, and mortality meetings
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Engage with other teams to facilitate high-quality care and improve patient experience
- Ensure all patient care is delivered in compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and attendants verbally and in writing
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patients
- Ensure respect for the dignity, cultural, religious, and social sensitivities of patients
- Participate in CME, research initiatives, and case presentations for capacity building
- Receive ongoing training to maintain essential certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, ATLS)
