  • Provide essential postnatal care to mothers and newborns, including vital sign monitoring, breastfeeding support, and identifying danger signs
  • Administer necessary maternal and newborn medications and vaccines
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) practices
  • Counsel mothers and families on birth preparedness, newborn care, breastfeeding, nutrition, and hygiene
  • Support early initiation and exclusive breastfeeding and provide IYCF counseling when needed
  • Identify and refer mothers and newborns requiring advanced medical care
  • Provide family planning counseling and services where applicable
  • Maintain accurate ANC, delivery, PNC, and newborn care registers and documentation
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
