Skills

• Coordination with pharmacists for handover protocols
• Daily reporting to Assistant Manager/Manager of Pharmacy Services
• Supervision of unit-dose drug dispensation and distribution
• Review of patients’ profiles and CPOE
• Liaising with physicians for order inaccuracies or medicine unavailability
• Accurate issuance and filling of requisitions
• Prompt delivery of unit-dose medications
• Monitoring and managing inventory stock levels
• Receiving and physically checking goods from the Pharmacy store
• Shelving stock at specified temperatures
• Providing current and accurate drug information
• Maintaining records of drug information provided
• Preparing monthly reports on stock status
• Arranging inspection of nursing units and clinics
• Monitoring proper storage and distribution of floor stock, controlled drugs, and emergency medications
• Providing technical and administrative support
• Conducting relevant staff training
• Ensuring high-alert medications are labelled
• Preparing and presenting on various topics for CMEs
• Documenting interventions and drug information
• Monitoring temperatures and maintaining related documentation
• Providing regular updates and monthly KPI reports
• Performing assigned tasks by management

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper handover protocols are followed and provide daily reports
• Supervise unit-dose drug dispensation and review patient profiles to prevent drug interactions
• Contact physicians for order inaccuracies and manage medicine availability
• Ensure accurate requisitions are issued and medications are delivered promptly
• Monitor inventory levels and suggest necessary changes
• Receive, check, and properly store stock from the Pharmacy store
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and maintain records
• Submit monthly reports detailing stock status, including fast/slow-moving and expiry items
• Inspect nursing units and clinics to monitor medication storage and distribution
• Offer technical and administrative support, including staff training
• Ensure high-alert medications are correctly labelled and precautions are provided
• Prepare and present topics for Continuing Medical Education (CME)
• Document and report all interventions and drug information to management
• Monitor temperatures and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide management with regular updates and KPI reports
• Perform all tasks assigned by the Manager/Assistant Manager of Pharmacy Services
