Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide a physiotherapy service to in-patient and out-patient departments for pediatrics and adults
• Undertake patient assessments using clinical reasoning and manual techniques to provide a physiotherapy diagnosis
• Formulate management strategies and recommend the best course of intervention, developing discharge plans
• Evaluate patient progress, reassess and alter treatment programs as required, developing reflective practice
• Take delegated responsibility from senior colleagues for managing and treating patients with particular conditions
• Communicate effectively with patients of all ages who have physical and psychological barriers to understanding
• Work on the emergency duty Rota, assessing and treating acutely ill patients with respiratory problems and multiple pathologies
• Maintain associated records as an autonomous practitioner
• Educate patients, family members, and the community on how to prevent injuries and live a healthy lifestyle
• Collaborate with patient doctors for referral, notes, and medical history
• Identify and conduct training programs for pre-prosthetic and pre-orthotic needs for patients
• Supervise physiotherapy assistants
