- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop prosthetic/orthotic treatment plans
- Provide rehabilitation services to orthopedically and neurologically impaired patients
- Advise on the design of prosthetic/orthotic devices
- Fabricate, fit, suspend, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Ensure proper fitting and timely delivery of appliances
- Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients
- Adjust prostheses or other assistive devices
- Ensure teamwork and implementation of patient flow
- Provide patient education on device usage, safety, hygiene, and care
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary modifications
- Maintain workshop standards and safety compliance
- Ensure proper material selection and device durability
- Support post-surgical and long-term rehabilitation programs
- Maintain standard quality of appliance as per guidelines
- Ensure quality standards and minimum required production levels
- Update daily patient records in HMIS System
- Maintain standard ratio of production of devices per month
- Ensure quarterly material demand of raw materials and components
- Ensure proper use of machinery and equipment
- Ensure economical use of materials with minimum wastage
- Follow and implement proper health and safety procedures
- Promote a patient-centered culture
- Monitor patient satisfaction, complaints, and service feedback
- Address patient concerns and escalate issues when required
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop prosthetic/orthotic treatment plans
- Provide rehabilitation services to orthopedically and neurologically impaired patients under the guidance of the Supervisor
- Advise on the design of prosthetic/orthotic devices, and fabricate, fit, suspend, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Ensure proper fitting and timely delivery of appliances
- Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients with in gait training areas, and adjust for proper fit, function, and comfort
- Ensure teamwork and implementation of patient flow within the center
- Provide patient education on device usage, safety, hygiene, and care
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary modifications if required
- Maintain workshop standards and safety compliance
- Support post-surgical and long-term rehabilitation programs
- Maintain standard quality of appliance as per guidelines of WHO, ICRC and IHHN
- Ensure quality standards and minimum required production levels with the rehab team members
- Update daily patient records (In HMIS System) pertaining changes in gait training, component issuance etc
- Keep standard ratio of production of devices per month (25-28 patients/month including bilateral devices & 50% prosthetic cases) including major & minor cases as per IHHN guidelines
- Ensure quarterly material demand of raw materials, prefabricated components, machines, machine tools, working tools and equipment's needed
- Ensure proper use of machinery, equipment and tools and should be aware of alternate ways in case of any breakdown of equipment's to manage the ongoing work
- Ensure economical use of materials with minimum wastage of materials
- Follow and implement proper procedures, such as wearing goggles, gloves and masks to avoid any health and safety hazard while handling certain materials
- Promote a patient-centered culture; monitor patient satisfaction, complaints and service feedback
- Address patient concerns in coordination with the Deputy Manager, PRC and escalate issues when required
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards
- Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills
