Skills

• Regularly patrol hospital buildings and grounds to prevent and detect signs of intrusion
• Adhere to designated spots and inform supervisor before leaving
• Monitor surveillance equipment and access points
• Ensure all hospital security policies are enforced
• Implement instructions from management, security officer, and supervisor
• Check all luggage, vehicles, visitors, and staff entering hospital premises
• Surveil all visitors and staff entering Emergency, Wards, and internal hospital areas
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches, assessing situations and taking appropriate action
• Manage and de-escalate conflicts or disturbances, reporting to Supervisor immediately
• Verify gate passes of outgoing luggage
• Check all offices, stores, and departments after closing hours
• Counsel patient attendants to be seated properly in waiting areas
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter hospital areas
• Assist employees and visitors with security-related needs and concerns
• Report any safety hazards or breaches to the Security Supervisor
• Ensure all vehicles are parked in correct allotted parking areas
• Perform proper handing/taking over at change of shift, following all protocols and procedures
• Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrol hospital premises to ensure safety and security
• Monitor surveillance systems and control access points
• Enforce hospital security policies and management directives
• Inspect incoming and outgoing items and individuals
• Respond effectively to security incidents and emergencies
• Maintain order and de-escalate disturbances
• Verify documentation for outgoing items
• Secure areas after operational hours
• Guide and assist visitors and patient attendants
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas
• Address security concerns of staff and visitors
• Identify and report safety hazards
• Manage vehicle parking and traffic flow
• Ensure smooth shift transitions with proper handover procedures
