Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting

• Develop and improve working practices for a comprehensive biomedical engineering service
• Introduce innovative ideas, methods, policies, protocols, and procedures
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment
• Review and verify maintenance documentation and calibration certificates
• Evaluate equipment performance trends and recommend repair and replacement
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers for equipment repairs
• Participate in technical evaluation of new equipment and vendor selection
• Prepare technical specifications and contribute to tendering and procurement processes
• Collaborate with hospital departments during expansions or commissioning of new units
• Coordinate with clinical and technical departments to address operational concerns effectively
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to laboratory equipment safety and operation
• Effectively communicate through reports and email
• Maintain accurate service records, calibration logs, and asset histories in the CMMS system
• Supervise and mentor biomedical engineers, fostering technical excellence and accountability
• Understand safety aspects related to environmental conditions and electrical requirements for medical equipment
