• Position: Wing Head - Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) (SVP/EVP)
• Location: Karachi, Pakistan
• Experience: Minimum 10 years, with at least 4 years in Green Finance, Climate Finance, ESG Strategy Development, or related fields.
• Qualifications: Master's or equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Sciences, or related fields; professional certifications are a plus.
• Key Responsibilities: Leading ESG strategy, reporting framework implementation, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building.

Skills

• Sound working knowledge of ESG, climate finance, and sustainability concepts
• Familiarity with emerging disclosure and reporting standards such as IFRS S1/S2 (ISSB), GRI, and TCFD

• Strong analytical and data management skills
• Ability to work with large and complex datasets
• Ability to translate findings into clear reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Demonstrated experience in project management

• Ability to prepare policy briefs and concept notes

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of the Bank's ESG and sustainability reporting framework
• Oversee associated policies, procedures, and governance structure
• Ensure reporting requirements align with SBP guidelines and international standards such as IFRS S1/S2
• Coordinate with business and support functions to collect, validate, and consolidate ESG and climate-related data
• Prepare ESG disclosures and sustainability reports for Senior Management, the Board, and its Committees, regulators, and other stakeholders
• Track local and international developments in ESG, sustainable finance, and climate regulation
• Assess the implications of climate regulation for the Bank
• Establish robust ESG data management, metrics, and reporting controls
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of disclosed information
• Partner with Finance, Business, HR, Operations, and Compliance to identify, measure, and report material ESG risks, opportunities, and key performance indicators
• Support the integration of environmental, social, and climate-related considerations into the Bank's risk management framework, credit processes, and business strategy
• Contribute to the Bank's sustainable and green finance agenda, including green product development and engagement with development partners and climate funds
• Provide measurement, reporting, and analytical support for sustainable finance initiatives
• Build ESG capacity across the Bank through guidance, awareness sessions, and training
• Develop processes and tools to embed sustainability reporting into day-to-day operations
• Liaise with Internal Audit, Compliance, and other assurance functions on ESG-related reviews
• Ensure observations are addressed through clear action plans and timely closure of gaps
• Serve as the Bank's point of contact with SBP and other regulatory and stakeholder bodies on ESG reporting and regulatory requirements
• Manage information requests and the implementation of applicable guidelines
• Perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor
