Senior Registrar - Anesthesia & Pain Management at Indus Hospital & Health Network

- Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and consultations
- Administer anesthetics to induce and maintain controlled unconsciousness
- Monitor and manage patient's vital life functions
- Manage the patient's airway and ensure adequate oxygenation
- Provide post-acute and chronic pain relief
- Perform pain-relieving procedures and prescribe medication
- Counsel patients and their families on pain management strategies
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Deliver advanced life support
- Manage the recovery of patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Consult patients and their families and obtain informed consent
- Monitor patient's progress and modify treatments
- Perform procedures within credentialing limits
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patients
- Ensure respect for dignity, cultural, religious, and social sensitivities
- Ensure all patient care complies with IHN standards and regulatory authorities
- Ensure quality and safety of patient care interventions
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written forms
- Engage with other teams for high-quality care
- Ensure allocation of appropriate time, space, and manpower
- Contribute to emergency preparedness
- Participate in CME and continuing professional development
- Participate and involve in relevant professional bodies
- Share work experience with others
- Participate in training activities for capacity building
- Guide and facilitate colleagues in seeking knowledge and skills
- Provide and receive ongoing training for essential certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, ATLS)
- Participate in research initiatives
- Perform any other assigned task commensurate with knowledge and skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans for various surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and consultations with patients and surgical teams
- Administer anesthetics to induce and maintain a state of controlled unconsciousness and pain relief during surgery
- Monitor and manage patient's vital life functions throughout the surgical procedure
- Manage the patient's airway and ensure adequate oxygenation and ventilation
- Provide post-acute and chronic pain relief using various pharmacological and interventional approaches
- Perform pain-relieving procedures and prescribe medication to manage pain levels
- Counsel patients and their families on pain management strategies
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Deliver advanced life support, including cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation
- Manage the recovery of patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and surgical ward
- Consult patients and their families and obtain informed consent for treatment
- Monitor patient's progress and modify treatments as conditions evolve
- Perform procedures within the limits of credentialing granted by the IHN
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patients
- Ensure respect for dignity, cultural, religious, and social sensitivities
- Ensure all patient care is delivered in compliance with IHN standards and regulatory authorities
- Ensure the quality and safety of all patient care interventions and efficient utilization of resources
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written forms and engage with other teams
- Ensure the allocation of appropriate time, space, and manpower for all patient care processes
- Contribute to emergency preparedness by participating in major incident planning and responses
- Participate in CME and continuing professional development activities
- Participate and involve in relevant professional bodies and share work experience
