Skills

• Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans
• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and consultations
• Administer anesthetics and monitor patient vital functions
• Manage patient airways and ensure adequate oxygenation
• Provide post-acute and chronic pain relief
• Perform pain-relieving procedures and prescribe medication
• Counsel patients and families on pain management
• Deliver advanced life support in critical care settings
• Manage patient recovery in PACU and surgical wards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Ensure patient confidentiality and respect for sensitivities
• Comply with healthcare standards and regulatory authorities
• Participate in continuing professional development (CME)
• Engage in training activities and guide colleagues
• Maintain essential certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS)
• Participate in research initiatives
• Perform assigned tasks commensurate with knowledge and skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans for surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and consultations with patients and surgical teams
• Administer anesthetics to induce and maintain controlled unconsciousness and pain relief
• Monitor and manage patient's vital life functions throughout surgical procedures
• Manage the patient's airway and ensure adequate oxygenation and ventilation
• Provide advanced pain relief using pharmacological and interventional approaches
• Counsel patients and their families on pain management strategies
• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Manage the recovery of patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Consult with patients and their families, obtaining informed consent for treatment
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatments as conditions evolve
• Ensure all patient care complies with IHN standards and regulatory authorities
• Contribute to the quality and safety of patient care interventions
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written forms with other teams
• Participate in CME and continuing professional development activities
• Participate and involve in relevant professional bodies
• Participate in training activities for capacity building at the workplace
• Guide and facilitate colleagues in seeking knowledge and skills
• Provide and receive ongoing training to maintain essential certifications
• Participate in research initiatives
• Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department
