Skills

• Proficiency in chemical analysis of body fluids
• Ability to calibrate and operate Biochemistry Lab instruments
• Skill in running daily quality controls and interpreting results
• Knowledge of infection control and ISO guidelines
• Competence in issuing reports and managing test rejections
• Experience in maintaining laboratory data and documentation
• Ability to manage stock of kits and consumables
• Familiarity with daily/weekly/monthly analyzer maintenance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze laboratory findings and conduct chemical analysis of body fluids (blood, urine, CSF)
• Verify result accuracy and inform clinicians of abnormal findings
• Ensure proper storage of abnormal samples
• Calibrate and operate all Biochemistry Lab instruments
• Perform daily quality controls, review LJ plots, and conduct EQA
• Adhere to infection control and ISO guidelines
• Issue reports, reject tests or samples as per SOPs, and repeat tests when necessary
• Maintain accurate laboratory data and documentation
• Manage stock of kits and consumables
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly analyzer maintenance as per procedures
• Track daily consumption of inventory
