- Proficiency in medical and surgical supply consumption checks
- Skill in IV cannulation
- Competence in catheterization procedures
- Ability to perform 12-lead Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Proficiency in nasogastric tube insertion and feeding
- Skill in stool collection with sensitivity
- Ability to provide patient and family orientation
- Expertise in cath room and equipment management
- Knowledge of basic biochemistry and hematology investigations
- Independent patient shifting capabilities
- Demonstrated patient preparation and receiving skills
- Safe handling of temporary pacemaker, intra-aortic balloon pump, and fractional flow reserve
- Knowledge of patient and environmental safety elements
- Routine safety checks
- Understanding of medical gases and O₂ supply
- Radiation safety awareness (TLD badge and lead apron)
- Proficiency with suction apparatus and anesthesia machine tubing
- Adherence to general infection and emergency precautions
- Hemodynamic (Asepsis) and surgical hand washing techniques
- Safe handling of patients with acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, and pulmonary edema
- Ability to perform continuous cardiac monitoring
- Proficiency in left & right catheterization
- Skill in graft check and aortic root angiography
- Experience with RHC/ASD/VSD/PDA and IABP
- Competence in pacemaker insertion and angioplasty
- Ability to assist with intubation and radiology procedures
- Experience with patients for re-look procedures
- Skill in sheath removal
- Responsible for cardiac enzyme management
- Ability to perform Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Continuous cardiac and rhythm strip monitoring and interpretation
- Safe blood sampling and understanding of cardiac enzyme testing
- Ventilator management skills
- Knowledge of mechanical ventilation in patient care
- Ability to handle patients on different ventilator modes and respond to alarms
- Demonstrated nebulization through ET tube
- IT maintenance awareness
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Cardiologist by assuring quality and safe care to the patient undergoing cardiac procedures
- Manage the procedure list of patients on a daily basis
- Check proper consumption of medical and surgical supplies
- Perform IV cannulation
- Perform catheterization
- Perform 12-lead Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Insert nasogastric tube and perform nasogastric feeding following its general principles
- Perform stool collection of the patient with sensitivity
- Provide general orientation to the patient and family and participate in patient education regarding procedure
- Give and take complete care of the cath room, equipment, and special assignments
- Learn the normal values of basic biochemistry and hematology investigations
- Shift out the patient independently
- Demonstrate preparation and receiving of patient independently
- Responsible for safe handling of temporary pacemaker, intra-aortic balloon pump, and fractional flow reserve
- Know and demonstrate elements of patient and environmental safety
- Assure safe handling of patients with diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, and pulmonary edema
- Able to perform continuous cardiac monitoring
- Ensure quality and safe care to the patient undergoing procedures including: Left & right catheterization, Graft check, Aortic root angiography, RHC/ASD/VSD/PDA, IABP, Pacemaker, Angioplasty, Intubation, Radiology procedures, Patients for re-look procedures, Sheath removal
- Responsible for cardiac enzyme management
- Able to perform Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with current standards and certification
- Responsible for continuous cardiac and rhythm strip monitoring and interpretation
- Responsible for safe blood sampling and proper understanding of sending cardiac enzymes
- Ventilator management
- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical ventilation in patient care
- Responsible to handle patients with safety on different ventilator modes and intervene quickly to ventilator alarms
- Demonstrate nebulization throughout ET tube
