Skills

• Proficiency in operating 500 and 100KVA generators
• Ability to verify generator safety parameters daily
• Skill in monitoring preventive maintenance performed by vendors
• Capability to coordinate with managers on generator-related issues
• Understanding of electricity switching between mains and generators
• Knowledge of implementing safety steps for generators
• Competence in monitoring fuel, radiator water, and oil levels
• Ability to ensure maintenance of radiator and dynamo belts
• Skill in recording hourly generator readings (oil pressure, water temperature, load, etc.)
• Ability to monitor exhaust smoke levels for operational condition
• Understanding of AVR and alternator operations
• Proficiency in maintaining daily logs and reports
• Ability to perform assigned tasks by supervisor/HOD

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth operation of generators (500 and 100KVA)
• Verify the safety and parameters of gensets daily
• Monitor all preventive maintenance works performed by vendors
• Coordinate with the manager regarding any complaints or requisitions related to the generators
• Ensure electricity is properly switched to and from the generators
• Plan and implement safety steps and procedures for the generators
• Monitor and ensure maintenance of fuel, radiator water, and oil levels in the generator sets daily
• Monitor and ensure maintenance of generator radiator and dynamo belts tension
• Record hourly readings of the generator while being used, including oil pressure, water temperature, load on each phase, physical condition of turbo chargers, etc
• Ensure working condition of the generator sets by monitoring smoke levels from the exhaust
• Monitor AVR and ensure smooth operations of the alternator linked to the generator sets
• Maintain daily logs and reports of generator sets
• Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor / Head of Department
