Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the National Assembly Secretariat's Directorate of IT
- Formulate policy for Digital Transformation of the National Assembly and its Secretariat
- Monitor and evaluate projects undertaken by the National Assembly Secretariat for digital transformation
- Conduct pre-processing of all projects of the National Assembly Secretariat relating to digitalization
- Identify areas where digital interventions can be helpful and suggest measures for automation through Business Process Re-engineering
- Coordinate, organize, and conduct stakeholder consultations
- Establish and lead the National Assembly Secretariat's information security strategy
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets
- Conduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments and business impact analyses
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate cyber risks
- Ensure compliance with local and international cybersecurity regulations and standards
- Lead internal/external audits of security practices/controls
- Oversee deployment and management of security tools, technologies, and frameworks
- Implement controls to safeguard networks, systems, applications, and data
- Lead the incident response plan (IRP)
- Manage cybersecurity incidents, including containment, recovery, investigation, and reporting
- Promote cybersecurity awareness across all levels
- Develop training programs to improve security posture and reduce human error
- Serve as the primary liaison with National CERT and other regulatory bodies on cybersecurity posture, risks, and ongoing initiatives
