Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) from an HEC recognized university

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist project management in fulfilling responsibilities related to the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP)
• Oversee the completion of ESMP/EHS requirements for rehabilitation works and existing facilities
• Conduct regular EHS risk assessments and audits for all project activities
• Identify potential EHS risks, implement mitigation measures, and maintain a risk register
• Prepare, review, and ensure timely submission of environmental and social monitoring reports to WAPDA management and donor agencies
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all EHS activities, including incident reports, audits, inspections, and corrective actions
• Collaborate and coordinate with supervision consultants, contractors, and WAPDA management on EHS matters
• Engage with donor agencies, local authorities, and communities to address EHS concerns
• Develop and conduct EHS training programs for project staff and workers to enhance EHS awareness and compliance
• Lead EHS awareness sessions and ensure personnel are informed about EHS policies and procedures
• Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Integrate lessons learned into the project's EHS management system to prevent future incidents
