Duties and Responsibilities:

• - Conduct shift reviews and manage duty extensions when necessary
• - Maintain logbooks and whiteboards for staff allocation
• - Perform quick rounds to assess patient care and resources
• - Coordinate with previous shifts for comprehensive handover
• - Conduct daily morning briefings with nursing staff
• - Ensure staff adherence to uniforms, attendance, and punctuality
• - Promote professional behavior among healthcare workers
• - Prepare wards for physician rounds
• - Enforce bed-to-bed patient handover practices
• - Verify ward inventory against checklists
• - Conduct random checks of inventory and crash carts
• - Ensure assigned staff are aware of patient care needs and hygiene
• - Accompany physicians during rounds
• - Liaise with consultants to discuss patient care and personnel issues
• - Ensure availability and proper recording of consumable supplies
• - Hold weekly meetings with senior nursing team
• - Discuss in-service education needs with CNI
• - Inform Nursing Management of ward needs
• - Conduct random rounds with staff to assess patient care
• - Ensure completion and review of patient's initial assessment and care plans
• - Monitor fresh vital signs, height, and weight of new admissions
• - Ensure provision of hygiene care for bed-bound patients
• - Monitor and document patient vital signs as per policy
• - Accurately calculate and document intake and output
• - Ensure prescribed investigations are completed and documented
