  • Respond effectively to conflict or crisis situations within patient care zones
  • Meet daily with CNI to discuss patient management strategies and staff performance
  • Hold regular meetings with patients and/or families to address concerns related to nursing care
  • Assign nursing staff based on patient care needs, nursing competency, and staff development goals
  • Meet frequently with clinicians to discuss patient care treatment plans and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure sufficient staff coverage for patient care management during weekends and public holidays
  • Communicate clear and appropriate expectations for all nursing practices to the concerned staff
  • Exhibit exemplary behavior as a role model for all nursing professionals
  • Provide counseling to nursing staff whose performance is unsatisfactory and offer opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain timely documentation and anecdotal records for performance appraisals
