Skills

  • BS (Medical Lab Technology) or Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Sciences
  • Proficiency in performing and validating laboratory tests
  • Familiarity with national and international laboratory standards (ISO 15189, CAP, PNAC, PHCC)
  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures
  • Excellent record-keeping and data management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and validate routine and specialized laboratory tests in Hematology
  • Ensure uninterrupted laboratory services with optimal turnaround times
  • Adhere to national and international standards and IHHN Laboratory SoP's
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely release of test results
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor laboratory equipment and analyzers
  • Adhere to duty rosters and maintain laboratory discipline
  • Report incidents, spills, or occupational exposures promptly
  • Escalate critical values and urgent findings as per policy
  • Ensure proper storage of samples according to retention policy
  • Reject tests if required based on SoP criteria
  • Maintain environmental and refrigerator/freezer temperature logs
  • Monitor section stocks and ensure timely availability of inventory
  • Perform internal quality control and review I plot
  • Maintain quality indicators and continuous improvement programs
  • Ensure availability of reagents, consumables, and supplies
  • Maintain appropriate records and statistics, monitor KPIs
