Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in assigned hospital units
• Propose diagnoses based on patient data and examinations
• Develop and implement treatment plans under consultant supervision
• Perform clinical procedures within scope of training and credentialing
• Participate in ward rounds and case discussions
• Ensure timely and accurate patient documentation
• Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations
• Escalate complex cases to consultants appropriately
• Provide on-call coverage as per duty roster
• Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals when required
• Coordinate with nursing and allied health teams for patient care
• Counsel patients and their families, obtaining informed consent
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans
• Ensure appropriate allocation of time and resources for patient care
• Provide clinical guidance and ensure adherence to hospital guidelines
• Participate in clinical audits and morbidity/mortality meetings
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and attendants
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patients
• Ensure respect for patient dignity, cultural, religious, and social sensitivities
• Participate in CME, research initiatives, and case presentations
• Receive ongoing training for essential certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, ATLS)
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional growth
• Perform all tasks assigned by the Head of Department
