Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in OPD, IPD, ER, ICU, or specialty units
  • Propose a diagnosis based on history, examination, laboratory, and imaging data
  • Develop and implement treatment plans under Consultant supervision
  • Perform clinical procedures within the scope of training, specialty, and credentialing
  • Participate in ward rounds and case discussions, ensuring timely and accurate patient documentation
  • Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations
  • Escalate complex cases to Consultants appropriately
  • Provide on-call coverage as per the duty roster
  • Offer clinical guidance and ensure adherence to hospital clinical guidelines and SOPs
  • Participate in clinical audits, morbidity, and mortality meetings as guided
  • Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards
  • Engage with other teams to facilitate high-quality care and improve patient experience
  • Participate in CME, research initiatives, and case presentations for capacity building
  • Receive ongoing training to maintain essential certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, ATLS)
