- Receive a hand over report on patients from the alternative SMO
- Attend ward areas preferably within an hour when commencing duty in all shifts
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the HMIS system
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency response as required
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care services
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and trainees
