Senior Music Trainer/Consultant Vacancies in Hunza, Pakistan

Aga Khan Cultural Service - Pakistan (AKCS-P) is inviting applications for the role of Senior Music Trainer/Consultant, an integral part of a capacity-building project at the Leif Larsen Music Centre (LLMC) in Hunza. Applicants should possess a strong professional background in music performance, composition, or education, alongside a minimum of 20 years of demonstrated experience.

This initiative aims to elevate the skills of young musicians through advanced workshops and mentorship, focusing on the unique musical heritage of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. Successful candidates will play a key role in fostering innovation and preserving traditional music by supporting documentation and promoting diverse musical expression.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver advanced music training workshops for LLMC students in Hunza
  • Conduct practical master classes combining indigenous musical traditions of Hunza with South Asian classical music and contemporary musical forms
  • Mentor emerging musicians and support their artistic and professional development
  • Lead advanced music residency/workshop in Karachi for selected participants
  • Provide technical guidance on performance, composition, musical interpretation, and professional practice
  • Contribute to project documentation and reporting
