Senior Pharmacist at The Indus Hospital

We have an immediate opening for the post of Senior Pharmacist.

Skills

  • Minimum 03 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a tertiary hospital setup
  • Full awareness of The Indus Hospital's mission statement
  • Ability to work with team spirit within the department
  • Proficiency in monitoring Pharmacy Store inventory
  • Supervision of In-Patient, ER Pharmacy, MDR-TB, and Hepatitis drug management units
  • Experience with Cath Lab Pharmacy services activities
  • Ability to conduct daily visits to all Pharmacy locations
  • Skill in brief discussion and reporting to Asst
  • Manager / Manager Pharmacy
  • Monitoring all clinical activities of Clinical Pharmacist
  • Maintaining all data relevant to Drugs and patients
  • Developing and guiding Pharmacy staff on drug management and inventory control
  • Providing technical and administrative support to pharmacy staff
  • Ensuring implementation of departmental SOPs
  • Utilizing Pharmacy staff as per approved JDs
  • Arranging and documenting weekly, monthly departmental meetings and minutes
  • Inspecting nursing units and clinics to monitor proper storage and distribution of floor stock, controlled drugs, and emergency medications
  • Preparing and forwarding lists of fast-moving/slow-moving/short expiry/expired/broken/damaged items
  • Arranging programs for surprise audits of all Pharmacy locations
  • Rechecking and forwarding reports of KPIs of all locations monthly
  • Active participation in compiling Hospital formulary
  • Arranging Formulary and P&T Committee meetings
  • Conducting and arranging CMEs for pharmacists and technicians
  • Supervising and ensuring complete checking/tally of physical stock of all Pharmacy locations monthly
  • Maintaining IT systems related to pharmacy operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Pharmacy Store inventory
  • Supervise the In-Patient, ER Pharmacy, MDR-TB, Hepatitis drug management units & Cath Lab Pharmacy services activities
  • Conduct daily visits to all Pharmacy locations and report to management
  • Monitor clinical activities of Clinical Pharmacists and maintain relevant data
  • Develop and guide Pharmacy staff on drug management and inventory control
  • Ensure implementation of departmental SOPs and efficient staff utilization
  • Organize and document departmental meetings and implement decisions
  • Inspect nursing units and clinics for proper medication storage and distribution
  • Prepare monthly reports on inventory status (fast/slow moving, expiry, etc.)
  • Conduct surprise audits of Pharmacy locations and report KPIs
  • Participate in Hospital formulary compilation and committee meetings
  • Organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions for pharmacy staff
  • Supervise monthly physical stock checks and report discrepancies
  • Maintain IT systems for pharmacy operations
