• Prepare medication requisitions and administer medication
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and follow safety protocols
• Facilitate doctors / consultants on their rounds
• Assist doctors with any procedure they may need to perform, preparing patients physically and emotionally ensuring availability of all equipment
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care using correct charting techniques
• Carry out doctors’ orders as prescribed, and question any concerns with prescribed treatment
• Ensure unit/ward medical supply requirements are well-stocked and readily available
• Check and record blood sugar
• Draw blood and perform lab procedures
• Check and record vital signs
• Perform IV cannulation of patients
• Notify/report incidents
• Supervise Nurse Aids, Student Nurses
• Perform delegated tasks as directed
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
