  • Discuss and document pending tasks carried forward to the incoming shift
  • Document patient takeovers in HMIS and report any urgent interventions or concerns
  • Assess patients for required care, pain, risks, and provide education on prevention
  • Evaluate patient condition after interventions and review care plans
  • Involve the multidisciplinary team when patient problems require consultation
  • Manage general consumption of patient supplies and medications, ensuring timely delivery
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Adhere to infection control and medication safe administration practices
  • Maintain patient privacy during care, examination, procedures, and transportation
  • Keep patient records confidential
  • Accompany physicians during rounds and note orders
  • Assist doctors with procedures, preparing patients physically and emotionally
  • Prepare patients for surgery/procedures per pre-op orders
  • Follow post-operative orders and monitor patient condition
  • Report incidents or near misses related to patient or staff harm
  • Guide LPN, RM, Nurse Aids, new joiners, and students
