• Ensuring proper functioning of endoscopy equipment and reporting faults

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS
• Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and required consumables prior to procedures
• Support patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of biopsy samples
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes and accessories as per protocols
• Ensure proper functioning of endoscopy equipment and report faults timely
• Assist in minor troubleshooting and coordinate with biomedical teams for repairs
• Strictly follow infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the endoscopy unit
• Ensure safe disposal of medical waste as per hospital policies
• Maintain stock levels of consumables and endoscopy accessories
• Minimize wastage and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources
• Maintain logs of procedures, equipment usage, and sterilization records
