• Experience Required: 1-3 years.
• Key Skills: Blood grouping, cross-matching, antibody screening, and instrument maintenance.
• Education: Bachelor's degree (BS-MLT, DMLS)/ Masters / Certification / Diploma.

Skills

• Proficiency in blood grouping and Rh testing
• Expertise in cross-matching procedures
• Skills in antibody screening and identification
• Ability to perform weak D testing and DAT-testing
• Competence in red cell antigen phenotyping
• Capability to resolve ABO discrepancies
• Knowledge of serology reagent quality control
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance (Serofuge, cell washer, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily heat block quality assurance (QA)
• Conduct daily maintenance of Serofuge, cell washer, cytotherm, and water bath
• Manage daily serology reagent quality control
• Execute blood grouping and Rh testing
• Conduct cross-matching procedures
• Perform weak D testing and DAT-testing
• Screen and identify red cell alloantibodies
• Perform red cell antigen phenotyping
• Resolve ABO discrepancies using established techniques
• Perform antibody titer tests
• Prepare Alsever’s Solution and reagent cells
• Calibrate Cell Washers and Serofuge
• Perform workup and reporting for difficult serology cases
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department
