Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate and/or diploma students on topics according to academic syllabus using relevant teaching strategies
• Keep well-informed of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences
• Prepare course materials such as syllabus, homework assignments, and handouts
• Supervise students' clinical work
• Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and papers
• Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curriculum, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction
• Assess clinical education needs, and patient and client teaching needs, utilizing a variety of methods
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others
• Advise students on academic and vocational curricula, and on career issues
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students
• Supervise undergraduate and/or diploma teaching, internship, and research work
• Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues
• Compile bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments
