Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient care requirements across different hospital units including A&E, ICU, CCU, and other areas,Develop and implement staffing plans, based on patient condition and staff availability,Serve as resource for staff during clinical issues,Make efficient use of resources to aid in the delivery of patient care,Promptly communicate events to the appropriate authorities,Offer assistance in emergency situations,Identify and resolve any administrative or operational issues,Anticipate issues that may arise, and prioritize tasks efficiently,Working with staff to solve problems in a fair way,Ensure adherence to the hospital's policies and procedures,Report essential events and problems to the administrator,Provide guidance, support, and necessary feedback to the staff,Offer ongoing evaluations of staff members' performance,Promote attendance in staff development sessions that are offered,Discover the educational needs of staff, and share them with the Clinical Nurse Instructor,Assist staff in adapting to changes,Help with providing a safe work environment,Help with the development and implementation of the year's goals for the department,Stay updated and current on a professional level,Follow safety and infection-control measures independently,Work in compliance with standards and seek advice when in doubt,Meet or go beyond expectations of individuals,Assist physicians and staff during criteria for admission,Ensure adherence to hospital and nursing policies and procedures
