Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing tax laws
• Draft proposed amendments and legal notes for Director-level review
• Analyze budgetary proposals received from various stakeholders
• Review tax incentives and exemptions for their legal necessity or economic rationality
• Perform tax gap analysis
• Conduct overall tax expenditure analysis
• Perform cost-benefit analysis of suggested tax changes
• Analyze judicial pronouncements for tax policy inputs
• Undertake any other task assigned by the Director General and Directors
