Skills

• • Advanced qualification (PhD) in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Computer Science or Administrative / Management Sciences awarded by a university/Degree Awarding Institute (DAI) recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan
• • Minimum ten (10) years of managerial experience in higher education institution(s) or nationally reputed regulatory or accreditation bodies, including organizations engaged in education policy, research and development, and training and development
• • Out of the 10 years managerial experience, at least three (3) years may be in a senior leadership role (C-suite level), such as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer/Director General/Director
• • Must meet the Fit & Proper Criteria under the SECP Public Sector Companies (Appointment of CEO) Guidelines, 2015
• • Must demonstrate Clear understanding of statutory duties, fiduciary responsibilities, and corporate governance obligations of Chief Executive under the Companies Act, 2017, and ability to work with Government as Shareholder, Boards, regulators, and key stakeholders
• • Upper age limit is 55 years (relaxed by two years by the competent authority on recommendation of the Selection Board)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Serve as the executive and academic head of the institute
• • Be responsible before the BoD of NFC-IEFR as per applicable law
• • Provide leadership in academic and research activities
• • Manage the institute's operations and strategic planning
• • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements
