Skills

• Knowledge of Federal and Provincial rules and regulations regarding fire safety
• Ability to maintain and inspect fire safety equipment

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular fire safety inspections, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
• Execute all guidelines of the fire and safety management
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Federal and Provincial rules and regulations regarding fire safety
• Inspect all fire safety equipment at the campus and ensure that all the equipment is up to date and in perfect working conditions
• Maintain all data of fire safety equipment
• Ensure that Fire Alarm and detection systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers are appropriately located and properly maintained
• Assist the Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager in the development and implementation of emergency response plans, conduct fire drills, and train staff on fire safety protocols
• Ensure that the hospital staff is appropriately trained in fire safety procedures
• Respond to fire alarms and other emergency situations, providing leadership in managing the incident
• Supervise fire safety personnel and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Document fire incidents, inspection findings, and corrective actions, reporting them to the Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager
• Maintain clear communication with security staff, management, and other relevant parties regarding security matters
• Develop and implement a monthly duty roster and schedule
• Manage leaves and schedules of staff; maintain attendance
• Perform any other task assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or by the Head of Department
