Skills

• Operational and maintenance of medical air, oxygen, nitrous oxide, and vacuum systems
• Ensuring functionality of control, automatic operated safeties, and alarms
• Performing planned maintenance on manifold rooms and oxygen cylinders
• Carrying out minor upgrades and new work on medical gas systems
• Ensuring adequate supply of medical gases
• Filing of medical oxygen cylinders and stock maintenance
• Repairing, testing, and calibration of flow meters, gauges, and suction units

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute operational and maintenance tasks for all medical air, oxygen, nitrous oxide, vacuum, manifold room, and piped medical gases lines
• Verify that all control systems, automatic safeties, and alarms are fully functional and correctly set, documenting these settings
• Conduct regular checks and planned maintenance to guarantee optimal performance of manifold rooms and oxygen cylinders
• Implement necessary minor upgrades and new installations for the hospital's medical gas systems as directed
• Maintain a consistent and sufficient supply of medical gases to meet the hospital's demands
• Perform the refilling of medical oxygen cylinders as needed and ensure inventory levels are maintained
• Undertake the repair, testing, and calibration of flow meters, air, oxygen, and vacuum gauges, as well as suction units
