Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the regional Biomedical team, ensuring qualifications and training
• Oversee medical equipment planning, procurement, installation, maintenance, and replacement
• Manage biomedical engineering projects, including commissioning of clinical equipment
• Ensure safe and effective use of medical devices through installation, maintenance, and repair
• Oversee design, modification, or custom fabrication of equipment based on clinical needs
• Ensure compliance with national and international healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
• Lead regional biomedical audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Develop and implement cost control measures and regional biomedical budgets
• Provide technical leadership for centralized procurement and tender evaluations
• Negotiate service contracts, AMCs, warranties, and SLAs
• Review and investigate equipment-related incidents and implement corrective actions
• Represent Biomedical Engineering in regional committees and leadership forums
• Design and implement regional training programs for staff on equipment use
• Perform any other assigned tasks by supervisor or management
