Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in all cardiac surgeries independently, specializing in a specific area
• Arrange and maintain all necessary equipment and instruments for cardiac procedures
• Ensure consent forms contain accurate patient details and are properly signed
• Provide assistance to surgeons during the scrubbing-in process
• Uphold strict aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures
• Manage operating room operations in the absence of the designated in-charge
• Independently perform operational activities within the OT, including cleaning equipment
• Organize surgical instruments and prepare trolleys with minimal supervision
• Verify the availability of all required equipment, instruments, and consumables before and after procedures
• Document the usage of all equipment during surgical interventions
• Record the consumption of materials and supplies
• Transfer patients to the Recovery Room after ensuring they are cleaned and dressed
• Implement and ensure adherence to patient safety protocols
• Coordinate with the housekeeping department to maintain OR cleanliness
• Foster effective communication channels between surgical teams and OT staff
• Execute all duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Cardiac Surgeon
