  • The role involves working within the jurisdiction of Lahore, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, and Multan.
  • Candidates should possess an LLB degree and have at least five years of post-qualification advocacy experience.

Skills

  • Provide legal expertise in pursuance of Criminal & Civil cases of Customs, as falling in the ambit of the Customs Act 1969 and relevant Rules/Instructions/Allied Laws
  • Give legal opinion regarding propriety of filing of Customs References/Appeals
  • Conduct legal research and draft Customs Appeals/References/Parawise-comments etc
  • And timely submission thereof before the relevant judicial fora
  • Assist the Directorate in clearing the backlog of Customs cases lying before the noted judicial fora
  • Develop internal database of Customs case-law, Documentation and Decision-making tools
  • Plead Customs cases before the High Court, Customs Appellate Tribunal and FTO as and when required by the Directorate
  • Liaising with field formations on legal matters and developing summaries of important cases
  • Perform any other legal tasks as assigned by the Directorate
