  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
  • Manage laboring patients and perform vaginal deliveries
  • Assess and manage patients in the ER
  • Undertake medical procedures within competency
  • Liaise effectively with nursing staff
  • Discuss medication on discharge with patients
  • Write discharge summaries
  • Maintain patient medical information confidentiality
  • Provide urgent medical attention to staff or visitors
  • Remain on hospital premises whilst on duty
  • Comply with all hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintain effective interpersonal relationships

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the Critical Care Medicine department
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately in the HMIS system
  • Participate in ward rounds and collaborate with senior medical staff
  • Manage emergency situations and provide immediate medical attention
  • Perform medical procedures as per competency and consultant guidance
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients and families about their treatment and discharge plans
  • Uphold strict patient confidentiality and ethical medical standards
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive work environment
