  • Ensure patients are visited appropriately during ward rounds
  • Record patient progress and any event in the HMIS system
  • Seek advice from senior team members regarding patient health
  • Receive handover reports from alternative RMO/SMO and attend ward areas promptly
  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for admitted patients
  • Manage laboring patients and perform vaginal deliveries including vacuum deliveries as per competency

  • Ensure complicated antenatal patients are assessed by SMO and endorsed by specialist on call
  • Undertake medical procedures advised by the Consultant within their competence
