Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work within the scope of experience and competence, highlighting consultant orders
• Provide routine and emergency medical cover, ensuring 24-hour service
• Evaluate admitted patients by taking a complete history and performing physical examinations
• Undertake daily ward rounds and record progress in the HMIS system
• Seek advice from senior team members regarding patient health
• Receive handover reports and attend ward areas promptly
• Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
• Manage laboring patients and perform vaginal deliveries
• Assess and manage patients in the ER and consult for complicated cases
• Undertake medical procedures as advised by the Consultant
• Liaise with nursing staff regularly
• Discuss medications and write discharge summaries
• Maintain patient medical information confidentiality
• Provide urgent medical attention to staff or visitors
• Remain on the hospital premises during duty hours
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships
